FOMO Hackathon Recap

GNOMI Hack: Growth Challenge

187 applications. 30 approved. 26 projects submitted across three tracks in two days.

FOMO co-hosted the GNOMI Hack during a16z Tech Week NYC. A dual-purpose sprint designed to pressure-test GNOMI's Gen Z positioning while running a live hiring screen across content, growth, and engineering. The brief was simple: GNOMI has built a real-time AI intelligence layer for Wall Street. Make the next generation care.

Content creators produced short-form video campaigns. Growth strategists built full go-to-market playbooks. Engineers tackled a real component of GNOMI's data infrastructure.

11 engineers submitted. 7 are moving to the next round.

First place in content went to Elsa Qin for "The Whole Story", a coherent brand concept built from scratch in under 48 hours that repositioned GNOMI as a third category: as watchable as a creator, as accurate as a newsroom.

First place in growth went to Benjamin Eshaghian for an employee-generated content strategy anchored in LinkedIn distribution. It was executable, differentiated, and specific enough that judges asked if he'd run it himself.

93% of approved attendees are either actively job-seeking or open to the right opportunity. GNOMI walked away with a direct pipeline of 13 vetted candidates across content, growth, and engineering.

Stop Paying for 6 Tools. One AI Does It All.

Most e-commerce sellers juggle 6–8 tools and pay hundreds monthly to keep operations running. StoreClaw replaces the stack with one autonomous AI engine that monitors competitors, optimizes listings, automates marketing, and tracks profit 24/7. Connect your store and let AI handle the work — no prompts, no complex setup, no credit card required.

Your docs are losing you deals you never knew you lost

Developers evaluate your docs before they evaluate your product. If your documentation is slow, incomplete, or hard to navigate, they move on — and you never see it in your CRM. Mintlify customers see measurable drops in support tickets, faster time-to-first-integration, and higher conversion from trial to paid. Zapier saw a 20% increase in docs traffic after switching. HubSpot cut engineering maintenance time in half. That's what documentation-as-infrastructure actually looks like.
